Privacy policy

What we store

• Your account: the email address and name from your sign-in, and an account id. Sign-in is handled by Clerk.
• Your notes: every topic you enter, the text and the image DoodleNotes made for it, and when it was made.
• Your purchases: which pack you bought, when, the amount, and Stripe's reference for the payment. Never your card number.
• Server logs for a short time, to fix problems.

Who processes it

We rely on a few services to run DoodleNotes. Each receives only what it needs for its job.

• Clerk for sign-in and account management.
• Stripe and Link for payments. Stripe is the merchant of record for credit packs and keeps the payment details under its own privacy policy.
• Anthropic (Claude) and Google (Gemini), which receive the topic you enter in order to write and draw the notes.
• Our database and Cloudflare R2, where notes and images are stored. Vercel, which hosts the site.
• Google Tag Manager and analytics, to see which pages are used.

Public notes

Finished notes are public: each has its own page and appears in the community gallery with its topic. Your name and email are never shown. Do not enter private information as a topic. See the terms for how to have a note removed.

Cookies

We use a cookie to remember your light or dark theme and the cookies Clerk needs to keep you signed in. Google Tag Manager may set analytics cookies. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

Your choices

• You can see your notes and purchases on your account page.
• To delete your account, your notes, or a single note, email [email protected] from the address on the account. We remove the data within 30 days, except purchase records we must keep for tax and accounting.
• Residents of the EU, the UK and California have the right to ask what we hold about them and to have it corrected or deleted. The same email address handles these requests.

Children

DoodleNotes is not meant for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, write to us and we will remove it.
